I put a new E303 in my 2000-built FMS 302 short block, with rebuilt stock heads and have run it for 2 years with no problems - no noise and good power. I think the key is to not use springs with 140,000 miles on them.. Not quite stock. Oct 16, 2009 · If it's a generally stock 302, you do have to limit cam choice to about .500 or risk piston/valve interference. The rocker arm studs are the weak part - you should pull them (they are press fit) then tap for screw in stud. The hole is the correct size for a 7/16" tap with a 3/8" upper part..

Stick a hot cam in a stock engine with stock 2.73 gears and it will run so poorly that Honda Civics will outrun you. Without the supporting hardware, its a poor investment for performance.

May 26, 2010 · That is way to much money to run a high 12 or 13 second pass. I think one person on this board cracked out a 12.0 with this combo. Maybe it was Ryan. Not a well though out combo. Could go much faster with a pump, injectors, maf, and a turbo or blower. Not the proper hci route though..

You also are NOT going to gain 150rwhp by using the parts that the nutjob above posted.
